Yupyup, been home about three weeks now. x3 I'll...upload some even more things in a bit, but for now: EUROPE! 8D
Me and two of my friends down here are doing a month-long tour of 7 countries by InterRail over the entirety of July, visiting the glorious:
- Bergamo, Italy
- Milan, Italy
- Venice, Italy
- Ljubljana, Slovenia
- Budapest, Hungary
- Vienna, Austria
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Krakow, Poland
- Berlin, Germany
I believe we're spending particularly long times in Budapest and Berlin. x3 Also, I totally wanted to visit the Kaliningrad Oblast, but it wasn't possible...a) because I only wanted to visit because Kaliningrad used to be the Prussian capital Königsberg and is in what is essentially the last distinct part of Prussia, considering west Prussia was amalgamated into Germany when it was abolished, and b) because InterRail doesn't
actually go there. Bit of a sticker, that one.
Postcards are gonna be a killer - there's a few people I'm doing ones for in every country. xDD Luckily one of them is fine with doodles. Still,
I'd want postcards from 7 different countries in a month.
So, vaguely/hectically trying to get ready for that. Had to buy a rucksack, seeing as I nicked Dad's for Venezuela '06 and this time he's using it to go to Bosnia-Herzegovina. But I got the successor to his, the Karrimor Panther 65, which is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Now we've lost the tube to my platypus. >_> And doesn't that sound rude.
03/07/09:
So we're in Milan!

The keybord's all crappy and unfamiliar here, so it's gonna be short. It's hotter than any country has any right to be, but the trams are awesome, truly awesome.

The cathedral and castle were really cool. :3 Venice next!
09/07/09:
Welcome to Ljubljana! The citz with just a little too few vowels. x3 Speaking Slovenian feels like I'm singing along to all the Serbo-Croat songs I have from when Dad always played them when I was smaller. xDD Doesn't mean I can understand much of it though. >_> Anyway, it's totally cool, and there are mountains and a castle and THE DRAGON BRIDGE and everything's far far cheaper than Italy, which is excellent in itself. Oh, and we're no longer boiling, which is awesome, but it means our pants still aren't dry... ^^'
I did miss out Venice, because there was a really nice sunset while there was internet time, but that was truly awesome too. I mean, like, WATER BUSES. And like...really nice Architecture that's half underwater and stuff. It was extortionate, but what can you expect. xDD We went to Murano for the glass and Beramo for the lace, and it was the biz. And I still keep getting Venice Legs from being on the water for the entirety of the transportation. xDD Budapest tomorrow!

13/07/09:
Budapest is AWESOME. Srs bsns, they have Architecture by the bucketload, fields of sunflowers (crazy bus drivers), a fantastic chinese takeawaz down the road...(we had cravings >_>

and liek. A CASTLE QUARTER. And we're not in a hostel, we're not in a hotel, we're in an APARTMENT for bugger all per night. xD It's fantastic. Buda Hills today! :3
16/07/09:
Vienna! Which is...studiously
not Germany. Even though I keep calling it that. Had a bratwurst, which was very nice, and tried not to overheat or get eaten by mozzies, which failed spectacularly. Saw an odd Wagner performance, saw the Military-Naval history museum (which was AAAAWESOOOME) and marvelled over the differences bewteen Austria and Hungary. Prague tomorrow! :3

I finally have one.
It came to me when reading through past RPs we've done.
And it's totally brilliant, and I think it'll make you happy

...Rude? ; _ ; Oh gawd. Well, dA has plenty of mature stuff, so why not? Or is it something gross? >_>
And ah...well, obviously I wouldn't call it gross if I enjoy drawing it, but...I think it falls outside dA's policy's bounds. xD Might ask them if I can put a safe preview and a link, though I wouldn't particularly want some people finding it.
