How to Tell if Your Trade is Late: a guide by apocalypsebunny. 1) The date you submit it is more than a year after the other person's half. 2) You spent ages with it sitting on your hard drive gathering dust. 3) You had to get it done now because you know your style's been changing since you did the lineart. 4) The other person has actually moved accounts since you started the trade process.
GUILTY AS CHARGED. This is Riv, originally for ~Brandywine264, now for *xLovebite. I am so unbelievably sorry it's so late. A year and...four months? Oh god. I hope this is okay, after all that.
She wanted her listening to/lost in/high on music, so I thought I'd do her jumping around to it. x) Filesize ended up not being too big, but the sheer insane amount of markings meant that it had more layers than an onion. I had to research canine paws for this, and I'm pretty pleased with how they came out. I'm sorry it hasn't really got a proper background, but I thought the psychedelic whirlpool-like-thing fitted the mood better than any normal background I was thinking of.
I also don't own an iPod, don't intend to either, and therefore have very little idea of how they look beyond the main interface. So, don't tell me it's wrong. xDD
I hope I got all the markings right. O.o Oh, and her necklace is green for "hyper". x)
Now, I shall retreat back into my cubbyhole and let my eyeballs recover from the colour overload they've received.
Your lineart is awesome! Your soft shading style is so niceIwantit and the pose is very hot 8D I love how you did the hair too! That orange on the tail is adorable 8> haha! FAV'DHSDYUFYTRF!!

Again, me and my complaining. There is a very little chance that a dog could put his/her back leg in this position without touching the floor with at least one of the other three.even with that, his/her body would turn around a bit more in the waist, so the other back leg would be closer and the bottom of the tail would be hidden behind the butt. Also, the happy ( ^^) expression doesn't fit the aggressively set pose of the body. BUT! The front paws are very good, the shading is yet again perfect and the background very much matches the atmosphere, so overall, you did an awsome job.
Thanks again for the critique, but I have a couple of things to clarify this time. First - I realised that dogs probably don't have the range of lateral movement humans have in the hips, so it's a tad stylised. Second, I've seen dogs do some mighty odd poses while in the air and that's just it, she's jumping. I can do that pose in the air. And on the expression, well, the pose wasn't meant to be aggressive! It was meant to be an "I'm hyper and jumping around with an iPod in my ears and probably very likely to crash into something in the next five seconds" sort of pose. I wanted something dynamic. But thank you for the rest of it. x)

Ok, as you say, so it be. But I didn't mean like an aggressive pose, just aggressively set, meaning jumpy, hyper, doing stunts in the air and all that.
It's so happy! I really like it. Wow, all that work with the markings! Amazing. And I love the paws. And all the color is awesome!
